Johnny Young, an old friend of Olivia and the Farrars, interviews Olivia, Pat and John for this Australian programme looking back at the golden days in the 60s. They discuss feeling that anything was possible back then and that TV was new and very exciting. The friendships formed then survive today and there is remains a huge sense of loyalty between the Aussie musicians and singers of this time.
Pat Farrar talks about an innocent flirtation she had with Normy (Normie Rowe), an Australian singer when she was 21. Her husband, John, jokingly walks off the set in disgust. Much amusement occurs when Olivia talks about Ian Turpie’s influence over her. After being teased by Pat admits “he taught me a lot about music and performing - amongst other things that we won’t talk about! Thank God my daughter isn’t watching!” Olivia is much more relaxed and open whilst being interviewed with the Farrars.
There’s also lovely footage of the four of them walking along Malibu beach, having lunch with Olivia’s mum and of course great footage from the 60s.
