Dame Olivia Newton-John AC DBE has been awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette for her contributions to cordial relations between Japan and Australia.
Olivia recorded this message as a thanks. I first visited Japan in 1972 and since then I've been back more than ten times, one of my favourite countries and favourite people.
In 2015, Olivia became the first foreign artist to perform in Fukushima, after a nuclear disaster four years earlier, for her Pray for Fukushima
concert.
