Olivia was a guest judge on this show to find a Sandy and Danny for a stage production of Grease on Broadway. She was very positive to everyone and acknowledged this “I don’t know what to say. Everyone is so great”. Olivia refers to all the contestants by their names. She’d made a point of writing these down during the show so that she’d remember them. At the end of the show she declined to name her favorite performers instead saying "I’ll leave it to America!"
Olivia praised a performance of “Why Do Fools Fall In Love” saying “My [singing] partner Pat used to sing that song and she’s sick at home so I hope you’re feeling better.” Olivia and Pat used to perform together in the 60s and Pat went on to marry Olivia’s producer and the writer of many of the Grease hits: John Farrar. John and Pat have been married for over 35 years.
During the show Olivia and Jim Jacobs (the writer of Grease) were interviewed together. Jim said that Olivia was the nicest person in the entertainment business causing the ever-modest Olivia to cover her face with her hands in embarrassment. The female performers were thrilled to be able to ask Olivia questions about her Grease experience. Olivia cited being able to express both their sweetness and sexuality as key to the role of Sandy
Olivia had a short appearance on the earlier episodes
