Olivia was a guest judge on the American Idol heats in LA. This was filmed on her birthday Sept 26 2006. Even Olivia found a few of the contestants a bit much but she was overall very nice and encouraging.

In a touching moment Olivia comforted Sherman Pore who had lost his partner recently.The 64 year old Pore auditioned as a tribute to his cancer-stricken lady love of 20 years, who died just two days before. Paula Abdul cried as Pore sang You Belong To Me. A cancer survivor herself, said it was from the heart.
