Like the previous early US issue Let Me Be There, If You Love Me Let Me Know takes more songs from the early UK albums and added a few more from Long Live Love. MCA did a good job of taking the bes cuts from the source albums to make a stronger album for the US audience, who were taking Olivia to their hearts. The album has two top ten singles. I Honestly Love You, written by Australian Peter Allen was to become a knockout hit for Olivia and her signature song, perhaps until the Grease and Physical era. The single was a #1 hit in the US, Australia, and Canada, and it earned Olivia two Grammys (Record of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance) in 1975. The title track I If You Love Me, Let Me Know reached no 2 in the US country charts, and she won Female Vocalist of the year in the 1974 Country Music Awards, which caused a ruckus as she came from outside the established country music community.
