Long Live Love was the song chosen by TV viewers for the Eurovision pan-European song contest, with Olivia representing the UK. She came 4th, ABBA gaining a deserved win with Waterloo. Long Live Love was released as a single, but it didn't really suit Olivia's style at the time. The album tracks include this and some of the other songs which were candidates for the contest; the tracks on the first side of the album are again soft ballads which characterised Olivia's work around this period. The second single I Honestly Love You is a really special song that suits Olivia's voice perfectly and was a very successful single, still a favourite with which she likes to close her live performances. This album was not issued at the time in the US, though some of the tracks found their way onto the album If You Love Me, Let Me Know.
This album was released in South Africa, interestingly Let Me Be There and If You Love Me Let Me Know replaced the tracks Free The People and Country Girl.
The album was remastered on CD and released in Australia by Festival Records in 1998. This remastered edition was re-issued in 2024 by Primary Wave in order to reach a worldwide audience.
