‘AMERICAN IDOL 6’ WATCH
Seven cities, 60 days, and tens of thousands of pitchy singers-the first round of auditions for Idol’s season 6 (set to bow in January) wrapped Oct. 6 in Memphis. This time, artists Olivia Newton-John (L.A.), Jewel (Minneapolis), and songwriter Carole Bayer Sager (New York) were guest judges.
“There was a moment when I thought, ‘This is so surreal!” says Sager. “I’m so used to watching it lying down on my bed.”
