John Farnham Finding The Voice DVD
Olivia's last audio recording was for John Farnham's biopic put together with the permission and involvement of his family. Olivia is the first person on the documentary to speak, in all she speaks for about 2 minutes. Olivia discusses Australian society in the 1960s sheltered
, writing your own songs Important transition for an artist to be able to express their feelings on their own
and about her admiration for John and his work. He's my favourite singer... He is the voice. ..I feel lucky to have worked with him so much
.
Gaynor Wheatley testifies that John adored Olivia and Olivia adored John too. So it was really lovely to witness them together. They were so daggy and so fun and so utterly adorable.
There is a great photo of John and Olivia in their dressing gowns looking daggy
(see below).
The documentary has a section about Olivia's death. Gaynor Wheatley claims that John cried uncontrollably
and his son says that her death really kicked dad in the guts, he loved and respected her.
The DVD also features a few candid photos of John and Olivia together.
This was recorded just before Olivia died and you can hear that in her voice. This is testimony to why John was so very special to Olivia and how she really wanted to contribute to this authorised documentary.
Olivia does not appear on screen.
Running time is 91 minutes.
