Olivia Newton-John to Participate in 19th Annual Susan G. Komen South Florida Race for the Cure® on January 30
WHAT: Singer, actress and philanthropist Olivia Newton-John will participate in the 19th Annual Susan G. Komen South Florida Race for the Cure®. A breast cancer survivor, Newton-John will be honored in the Survivor Celebration, address race participants, distribute samples of her Liv Aid breast self-examination kit, and walk in the 5K race to raise funds for breast cancer research.
Olivia Newton-John successfully overcame her own battle with breast cancer in the 1990s. She used her experience to gain greater self-awareness and became a positive inspiration to millions of people battling cancer. As a breast cancer survivor, Newton-John has become increasingly well known and respected for talking openly about her battle with breast cancer and for promoting public awareness of the importance of early detection.
