This event draws enormous media coverage in both the United States and in Australia
and serves as Los Angeles’ Australia Week publicity anchor.
The gala honours high profile individuals for significant contributions in their
industries and for excellence in promoting Australia within the United States.
An Australian style dinner was crafted by Australian celebrity chef Luke Mangan and all food produce was flown in from Australia for this glamorous occasion.
Honourees for 2009 are Eric Bana, Rachel Griffiths and Rod Laver.
Previous honourees include: Cate Blanchett, Baz Luhrmann, Anthony LaPaglia, Mel Gibson, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Olivia Newton-John, Hugh Jackman, INXS, Naomi Watts, Russell Crowe, Kylie Minogue and Phillip Noyce.
