How they met
In London in the late Sixties. Olivia, below, left, had gone there to further her career, and Sue was working on the program This Week in Britain.

What they have in common
High-profile careers and children. Sue is one of Australia’s best-known TV presenters and now works in radio. Olivia is one of our favourite entertainers. Sue, who is Jason Donovan’s mum, has three younger daughters. Olivia’s child Chloe, 13, is best friends with Sue’s daughter Stephanie, 13.

Friendship ritual
Sue and Olivia enjoy late-night chats with plenty of laughs.

Chain reaction
The friends met through Pat Farrar, a singer and former partner with Olivia in Koala Blue.

Friend in deed
Olivia and Sue have supported each other over the years, especially when Olivia battled breast cancer and Sue was sacked from the ABC.

Shopping, having lunch and being with their families.
