Olivia, new life, new passion

Translation from Italian

The protagonist of the film with John Travolta is once again a woman in love and happy. For the unforgettable interpreter of “Grease" a new day has begun.

APRIL - The joy of life that her songs convey has cheered up several generations who grew up with the soundtrack of “Grease”, the film that made her popular all over the world, in 1978, alongside John Travolta.

And it is precisely this energy, this incredible vital force, the reason why Olivia, born in Cambridge on September 26, 1948, she never let herself be discouraged by the trials of fate. Her vocal qualities and her interpretative abilities made her an “all-round” artist capable of interpreting comic and theatrical roles in cinema as in music.

Until one day, she was put to the test. It was 1992, the same day her father died, and Olivia was diagnosed with cancer in her right breast. She says she didn’t worry too much about undergoing a mastectomy. She hoped she would avoid chemotherapy, that terrified her. But the surgery, although performed promptly at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles and completely successful, did not spare her the bothersome treatments. It took two long years to emerge from the nightmare, years spent in Australia in complete rest.

It was then that she made the decision to speak out about her experience, through an album she wrote herself (“Gaia, One Woman’s Journey”). To show other women in her same condition that it is possible to survive, to understand the importance of an early diagnosis.

But if on the one hand the disease was the stimulus to engage in social and humanitarian battles, on the other it also marked the end of her marriage to Matt Lattanzi (with whom she had a daughter, Chloe Rose), which had lasted since 1994.

And today, just a step away, Olivia has a new boyfriend, Patrick McDermott, a handsome man with long brown hair with whom Olivia has every intention of starting a new life. A life full of love.

She holds him very tight. This hug from Olivia is a declaration of love. It’s clear that between her and Patrick, this isn’t just a passing passion. But besides her Patrick, the actress is interested in many other things. She’s, in fact, a UN ambassador for anti-pollution.
With her daughter Chloe Olivia happily strolls with her teenage daughter Chloe Rose, the daughter of her marriage to Matt Lattanzi. More than mother and daughter, they look like sisters, and they act like one.
