boost your bathtime

I love to take a bath just before going to bed, and there is nothing like a good soak in the tub to revive you before a special night out. You can make your bath really invigorating and enjoyable by:
Lighting a scented candle or aromatherapy burner with an uplifting scent, such as bergamot or geranium.
Adding six drops of neroli, lemongrass or patchouli oil or a fizzing bath ball.
Using a body brush or mitt with your favourite body wash or gel to remove dead skin cells.
Applying a face mask.
Putting on some calm music.

face relief

While flying to Australia my skin kept getting so dry. To stay feeling fresh I carry a spray bottle in my bag and mist my face every few hours.

problem eaters

Fussy eating is a common problem among children and a concern for many parents. I’ve been lucky that ever since Chloe was little she’s been a good eater, but I know lots of kids turn up their noses at any dish containing vegetables.

Associate Professor Geoff Cleghorn, from the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Brisbane, has some sensible advice for parents of fussy eaters.
To ensure mealtimes don’t become a battleground, never force-feed a child.
Remember that, like many adults, children are bound to have food likes and dislikes.
Provide children with smaller amounts of nutritious foods more frequently. This will help with small appetites and short attention spans.
Try to make meals and snacks look as appealing as possible.
Encourage your child to eat with the family. Children learn social eating behaviour by imitating their parents and siblings.
Parents should avoid becoming like a restaurant by not providing children with alternatives.
Try to avoid having the television on or leaving toys around, as they will distract toddlers’ minds from eating.
Never use food as a bribe.

clever carrots

Carrots are one of the most versatile vegetables. I love eating them raw, tossing them into the juice extractor or in stir-fries.
