Crystal gazing

Some people believe crystals heal the body, while others swear by them as a source of energy. Throughout history, some belief systems have even regarded them as living entities. I just love the way they look, and am constantly fascinated by their different colours and planes. I love purple, so my favourite crystal is amethyst.

The following crystals are believed to affect your mood.
Amethyst is thought to be calming. It helps relieve stress and is great for insomniacs. Holding the crystal may help you overcome addictive behaviour.
Clear quartz is regarded as an energy enhancer and encourages a positive outlook. It also relieves tiredness and clears congestion and blockages of energy channels.
Jade comes in different colours, which all have different influences. Blue ade calms, red stimulates and yellow aids digestion and tones the liver.
Yellow fluorite gives a sense of inner peace and promotes mental clarity. It assists in the rejuvenation of body cells and will help the liver to eliminate fat and toxins from the body.
Tiger’s eye is all about balancing energy in the body. It promotes self-confidence and even optimism. It’s also good for balancing your emotions and awakening your Spiritual side.

Power of calcium

I take two 500mg calcium capsules daily.
Calcium helps you to relax and is a good way for pre-menopausal women to protect their bones. It has also been unked to the prevention of acne, and recent American research has found it may reduce the symptoms of pre-menstrual syndrome. In one study, women taking 1200mg of calcium a day reduced pain symptoms by almost half within three months.

Life's A Peach

Warm weather always makes me think of sweet, succulent peaches. They not only have a super taste but small amounts of vitamin B, anti-oxidant vitamins A and C, and minerals including calcium, phosphorous, iron, potassium and sodium. They also promote good bowel movement and may even help with morning sickness.
