Looking great with Olivia

Just about every process in your body requires water. It’s a big priority in my life and I try to drink at least eight glasses a day. Every morning when I go down to the beach for my run, I take a bottle of water as a quick pick-me-up.

Know your skin type.

With so many different foundations on the market, choosing the right one can be confusing. First of all, you need to know your skin type. Mine, for example, is normal, which means I can wear most products. What’s yours?
NORMAL: May be prone to the odd spot. Cheeks may feel tight after cleansing. Will tan after buming when exposed to the sun. Suits most products, including liquid and creamy foundations.

After my battle with breast cancer, I’m keen to spread the word on ways to help avoid it. Most of them are so simple!
Protect your general health by eating a wide variety of healthy foods, whole grains, fresh fruit and vegetables.
Reduce your overall fat intake.
Limit alcohol to two drinks per day.
Eat a low-fat, high-fibre diet and keep your weight at the right level for your age.
Try soy products. In countries with a high intake of them, such as Japan, the incidence of breast cancer is low.
Maintain regular exercise.
Check your breasts for lumps and other changes once a month.

As women age, the neck and eye areas deserve special attention. My advice is to moisturise your neck upwards. When applying eye gel, gently pat towards the inside of your eyes to avoid stretching the skin.

I embrace several alternative forms of medicine, especially the use of herbs.

Ginseng certainly has many benefits which have been known for centuries. For example, in 3500BC ginseng was regarded as the elixir of longevity. The plant’s modern history began in the 1960s when Swiss research discovered the medicinal virtues of this Oriental plant. Ginsana, which contains the ginseng extract G115, can help maintain endurance during physical activity: help alleviate stress and anxiety, and is useful during convalescence.
