Vince, You're the one I want
LOS ANGELES: Recently divorced singer Olivia Newton-John has found new love with a country and western singer 10 years her junior, according to friends.
Just like the title of Olivia’s hit song from Grease, she has decided Vince Gill is the one that she wants.
The 51-year-old confessed to a friend: “I’d marry him in a heartbeat.”
Olivia, who is enjoying a career boost with the re-release of her hit movie Grease, and Vince, 41, have been romancing around Nashville since first being spotted together in December in the Stardust Club there.
“They act like a couple of teenagers in love,” a close friend said. At an MCA Records concert last month, Vince came on stage with Olivia and they sang the duet You’re The One That I Want.
“He was tenderly holding her hand and hugging and kissing her,” a witness told the American magazine Globe. And the couple “couldn’t take their eyes off each other” at a party earlier that night at Nashville’s The Trace restaurant.
Olivia has been single since she divorced her husband of 11 years, actor Matt Lattanzi, who was also younger than Olivia, in 1995.
Vince’s divorce from country music entertainer wife Janis, 44, only became final on June 30.

Olivia Newton-John and Vince Gill knocked ‘em dead at the recent Operation Smile concert with their duet of You’re The One That I Want.
And Olivia said yesterday she’d like to sing with Vince again on a tour to support her upcoming country album on MCA Records.
During a taping of an in-depth interview with Ralph Emery, Olivia said she’d like to have Vince as a touring partner, referring several times to his “beautiful voice.” This could happen - both singers have the same high-profile management company in town, Fitzgerald Hartley.
After the taping, Olivia, who had country hits in the ’70s, said she has to go out to sell herself to new country audiences.
“There’s a whole generation of people who don’t know me apart from Grease,” Olivia says.
