Cliff says high's not so mighty

IF THERE’S one thing pop icon Cliff Richard loves about performing duets with Olivia Newton-John it’s the fact that he still sounds like a bloke.

“Sometimes you hear duets and men and women are singing so high that you can’t tell which one is which and so I quite like the idea that I still sound like a man,” he said.

In Australia for his 40th anniversary tour. Sir Cliff, 57, yesterday politely conceded he was ageing well.

“I didn’t believe it for a long time. I thought well maybe I am the one that is ageing correctly. maybe everyone else is just accelerating.” he said. “I don’t know that it is a secret. If we don’t age at the same speed others age then we are just lucky.”

Of their joint show, Olivia says expect something different. “Cliff does a Cole Porter song and it is just beautiful, it is not something you would expect him to sing and it is really gorgeous.”
