Olivia Newton-John is bidding farewell to sunny California and heading back home to Australia with a clean bill of health and a new set of priorities. Having won her battle with breast cancer. Olivia (below) has decided to move away from the showbiz - centered world of California and spend more time in the place she still calls home.
In Australia. she will be able to adopt a simpler, more relaxed lifestyle. The 48-year-old singer and actress told one friend that she’s “sick and tired of people who can’t talk anything except sequels and contracts”. She is so sure the move is for good that she’s put her fantastic Malibu beach house on the market for $10 million Olivia feels that Australia will provide a safer and cleaner environment for her daughter Chloe, 11, to grow up in. She believes Chloe would benefit even if it means being separated from her from her father Matt Lattanzi.
According to one source, Olivia is still hopeful of saving her 12-year marriage and the move to Australia may be designed to force a commitment out of Matt. Olivia has changed her outlook since winning her battle with cancer, the source adds: “She has really discovered what her priorities are and right now that means Chloe.” Olivia, who will continue to produce and present her environmental series Wildlife, has also left her dieting days behind her. One friend says: “Olivia says that she’s spent too many years counting calories and now it’s time to start living.”
