What do you watch on TV?

Love Seinfeld, I think that show is so funny and I love Mad About You. Those two are my favourites because the acting is good, the scripts are funny and they’re very adult. They approach subjects which are a bit taboo.

What bugs you most about TV?

I don’t like violence, I think there’s too much violence at times when children are watching. I think children get immune to it. I think it’s wrong to be immune to things that are negative because then we’re not affected by them and if we’re not affected, we are reluctant to change them.

What do you think of the difference between American and Australian TV?

In America there is so much choice, which is fantastic, but I think it can have a bad influence particularly on children. I know this from watching my own child. In Australia children seem to be outside more, doing things, than children in America. We are human beings not human sittings, so it’s a good idea to get out and do more, rather than watch it.
