Scoop Lovely Livvy turns reporter
OLIVIA Newton-John is to present a multi-million dollar television series which she hopes will offer a positive alternative to the doom and gloom of most programs dealing with life on our fragile planet.
Called Human/Nature, the Nine Network series, to be shown late next year, will feature Olivia as the program’s host and chief reporter Olivia, 45, whose latest project has been recording a new album of songs, says it was her ordeal with cancer in the past year that led to her commitment to the new TV show. “After what I went through I decided that anything I worked on m the future would have to be important And this is important,” she tells us from a recording studio in Byron Bay, NSW
“This program will be uplifting and positive I think we have become numbed and almost guilt-stricken by what we’ve watched about our environment We have been left feeling powerless That’s how I got involved I was driving along in my car listening to things on the radio about what was going on in the world. The good things. That’s when I thought that there really was a need to do this series”
“The program will deal with animals and their interaction with humans. There can be love stories as well as stories on how humans and animals relate to each other in war situations. It will show the positive side. It will empower the people who watch it. And it is being designed in such a way that it won’t wear me out!”
Olivia’s first on-the-road report will come from South America. As often as possible she will travel with husband Matt Lattanzi and daughter Chloe. Other stories will be filed by reporters around the world.
