Olivia Newton-John seeks support and comfort from her piglets.
This is a recent photo of Olivia Newton-John. She is gradually recovering from the major surgeries she had to undergo after being diagnosed with breast cancer. During that terrible time, she found support not only from her husband, daughter, and family, but she also returned to the dreams of her childhood. In those self-invented stories, piglets always played the leading role.
Sometimes she would tell such a pig story to her little daughter who came to visit her in the hospital. Later, she started putting her stories down on paper. Just to keep herself busy and not have to constantly think about her illness.
The pig stories helped her through the darkest months of her life, and now Olivia has had a children’s book made of them. The proceeds will go to a foundation dedicated to research into childhood cancer.
