Olivia's Win and Paradise Beach
Olivia Newton-John has won the battle that threatened to ruin her financially. When Koala Blue, the fashion store empire she created with fellow Australian Pat Farrar, crashed, Olivia lost millions. “People have been hurt enough to sue us,” said Olivia’s husband Matt Lattanzi, before the couple left Australia following his exit from the soap Paradise Beach.
In her first interview since she returned to the US, Olivia says: “I haven’t been in front of people for a year and a half, so this makes me feel choked up, actually.” Friends add that the news that the case has been dropped has lifted “a huge weight off Olivia’s shoulders”.
Meanwhile Olivia, Matt and their daughter Chloe pop up on Paradise Beach on October 15. It’s the final episode of this series and producer Jock Blair was asked by Matt if there was some way he might be able to squeeze in a small role for Chloe who was “desperate to make another appearance.” Jock explains: “I wrote this little scene that had Chloe coming up to Cooper (Matt) at the airport when he is about to fly out, having been made a U.S. offer that is simply too good to refuse. I suggested it would be fun in the closing scene to show Chloe going up to her mother and we just see the back of Olivia’s head.”
