Warm and Tender review

WARM AND TENDER, Olivia Newton-John (Geffen).

It’s going to take a very special audience to appreciate this treacly set of lullabyes and other children’s songs from the Aussie songstress who once implored listeners to get “Physical.” Livvie’s a dyed-in-the-wool mum these days, and she’s never been mellower than when she dives into “When You Wish Upon a Star,” “Rock a Вуе Baby,” “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,” “Sleep My Princess (Mozart’s Cradle Song),” “Over the Rainbow,” and the self-penned title track, sung to her daughter, Chloe.

Parents with kids Chloe’s age, 3 and a half, might want to seek the record out. Others should not experience it without a doctor’s supervision lest their blood sugar go through roof. But, y’know, considering the current mania for remixes, it might be fun to hear how this one sounds remastered by Public Enemy. (By Al Walentis)
