Olivia Newton-John will be appearing in Dallas at Reunion Arena on Thursday, September 2, along with a special guest appearance by Tom Scott This is only one of her performances included in a 50 date concert tour of North America The tour, Newton-John’s first in four years, and entitled “Physical Tour of North America ‘82” will end in Los Angeles mid-October.

Tickets for the Dallas concert are available at all Rainbow Ticketmaster outlets for $15, $12.50 and $10 Newton-John, who has sold more than 100 million records, has won three Grammy Awards and eight American Music Awards. She was seen by more than 31 million people this year, in her one-woman television special, “Let’s Get Physical” which was filmed around the world and included both live footage as well as specially-conceived musical vingnettes.

Her single, “Physical” not only reach platinum status cover 2 million sold, but remained number one for ten weeks on Billboard’s chart, surpassing previous longevity records for singles by such popular recording artists as Elvis Presley, The Beatles.

The singer’s “Physical” album has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide, while the singles from it have sold more than 7 million copies. The album itself has ben certified platinum over 2 million sold in the U.S.A, while the seond single from it, “Make a Move on Me”. has just reached gold status.

The “Physical Tour of North America ‘82” will be filmed for a later television special, during the 90-minute concert performance the singer will periorm new and unrecorded material as well as many of her number one hits and music from the movie “Grease” Additionally, an especially-designed stage will be used throughout the entire tour

Newton-John has starred in two major motion pictures. Her first, “Grease”, became the biggest grossing musical of all time, and her second, “Xanadu”. contributed many more platinum albums to her already staggering award collection.
