At The Top Success Hasn't Changed Olivia
It’s a cliche but it’s true success has not changed Olivia Newton-John.
The label of the world’s most successful female recording artist did not seem to suit the pretty blonde with the cheery smile at a press conference yesterday.
The conference was held at the Hilton Hotel and Miss Newton-John arrived nearly an hour late - the waiting time seems to lengthen according to the personality’s status these days.
What did the charms around her neck mean? asked one reporter. It meant her fingernails were not the best, and the jewellery was avoid attracting attention to her fingers, she said. The answer was hardly exciting but it had an honest sound.
“Are you a millionairess?” “Can I politely say that’s my business?” she said in the sweet voice that can take the sting out of even Bob Dylan’s lyrics.
She admitted she owned a property and six horses in California.
Was she secretly mar-ried to her manager and boyfriend Lee Kramer? No, she said.
Nor was she secretly married to Perry Como, as one writer suggested. Perry Como and Miss Newton-John both arrived at Sydney airport on Wednesday.
