The Association, scheduled to appear tonight in the Spectrum, has cancelled its concert, announced Buzz Thurber, ASUSU cultural vice-president in Monday’s Executive Council meeting. The group is filming a television appearance and can legally break their contract, Thurber said.

Olivia Newton-John has confirmed her January 18 date to perform at USU. Thurber believes the Association could play along with Ms. John but this has not been confirmed.</strong> The Executive Council members have been invited to dinner by USU President Glen L. Taggert tonight. The informal dinner is an annual event. Craig Cummings, ASUSU president, was absent because of an undisclosed reason. Nolan Johnson, ASUSU executive vice-president, chaired the meeting. After setting the agenda for the Executive Council, the group planned their Christmas party and their leadership workshop. The Executive Council Christmas party will be after tommorrow's basketball game. One day during Christmas vacation, the Executive Council will get together and reaffirm their commitments to the studentbody. Dr. Val Christensen and Leroy Dennis will conduct the program. The executive council meeting ended with a birthday party in honor of Alan Spendlove, ASUSU student relations vice-president and Rex Burgon, ASUSU financial fice-president.
