Olivia Hopes for Another Killing
SOME FOLK get away with murder, but lovely OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN even went one better-she made a “killing” out of it.
“The “killing” was the fortune she amassed while telling all and sundry about that squalid little affair on the “Banks of the Ohio” when her poor boy friend found that Olivia had turned up for an assassination instead of an assignation.
And an unrepentent Olivia now wants to know - “What Is Life.” This is her follow-up single, written by George Harrison, and she has elected on something completely different from her hat.
There is a change of tempo but I still think this one is definitely chart-bound because Olivia makes such compelling listening. And as she is currently appearing with Cliff Richard on Saturday nights, I think this and a forthcoming nationwide tour will boost this disc into a rightful chart spot. (PYE)
