THE Prime Minister has led tributes to Liam Fairhurst, praising the charity fundraiser’s “immense bravery” following his death at the age of 14.
Liam died at home in Soham last Tuesday, with his family around him, following a four-year battle with cancer He had raised more than $320,000 for children’s cancer care charity CLIC Sargent despite struggles against tumours in his leg and lung that left him confined to a wheelchair at times.
Tributes poured in from those Liam had met during his fundraising campaign, including Sir Richard Branson and Gordon Brown.
