Olivia's belief in power of the mind
Olivia Newton-John told yesterday of the importance of the mind in healing the disease, as she accepted a $10 million grant on behalf of a new centre to treat the condition.
Newton-John, who has overcome breast cancer, accepted the grant from the Fed eral Government that will fund a cancer centre named in her hon our at Melbourne’s Austin Hospital.
The singer, who contributed $2 million of her own money to the new centre, said pa tients need to have a positive outlook wher fighting cancer.
“Whatever spiritual belief you have, the mind has a very important role in healing,” Newton-John said.
