about Livkit

AN amazing new medical device is saving lives by dramatically increasing a woman’s ability to find lumps during monthly breast self-examinations. Called the “Liv Aid,” it is named after breast cancer survivor, Olivia Newton-John.

Device is named for Olivia Newton-John, who beat the deadly disease and is now spokeswoman for the product

A woman holds the device, an ultra thin, polyurethane baggy filled with a lubricant, over her breast as she checks for abnormalities.

HOW IT WORKS

It works by heightening the sensitivity of her fingers-making it up to 10 times easier to feel lumps in tissue. It also eliminates the friction from skin-to-skin contact, allowing the fingers to glide easily across breast tissue.

“The Liv Aid allows women to detect breast abnormalities more readily,” declares Dr. Dorcas McLennan, an ob/gyn at Women’s Health Specialists in Renton, Wash.

“You want to find breast cancers as early as possible and anything that will help women do their breast exams is invaluable.”

Adds Dr. Ernie Bodai, creator of the famous “Breast Cancer Re-search” postage stamp and director of Breast Surgical Services at the Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Sacramento, Calif.: “Liv Aid is a breakthrough in making breast self-exams more accurate.”

Incredibly, the inventor of the device got the idea for it while us-ng Shake ‘N Bake to prepare chicken. He noticed that he could feel the chicken parts much easier with the plastic bag covering them!

He brought the concept to Gary Sherrell, founder of the Sentida Corporation of Preson, Wash., whose own mother Roxy lost a six-year battle with breast cancer.

“We initially introduced the device in April of 2003,” he said. “When Olivia Newton-John became involved, we wanted to acknowledge her wonderful presence, so we changed the name to Liv Aid, in honor of her nickname, Liv.”

WHERE YOU CAN GET IT

The singer is thrilled to be a spokeswoman for the product.

“As a survivor, I’m proud to be involved in such an important crusade. Together, through proper education we can directly impact lives,” Olivia told The ENQUIRER. “So please treat yourself and those around you by using the Liv Aid and performing breast examinations.”

The Liv Kit is available on-line and at many pharmacies around the nation. You can get more information about it by going to www.LIVKIT.com or by calling the Y-Me national breast cancer hotline at 1-800-221-2141.
