Newton-John to Super Pops! into Little Rock
Olivia Newton-John will join the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra for its Acxiom Super Pops! concert at 7 pm. Sept. 29 at Robinson Center Music Hall, West Markham Street and Broadway, Little Rock. Tickets are $20, $35, $48 and $60, available first to subscribers of any of the orchestra’s 2002-03 seasons, and then as single-ticket purchases. Call (501) 666-1761.
The appearance with the orchestra will be part of Newton-John’s first symphonic concert tour. Newton-John, who starred opposite John Travolta in Grease, has won three Grammy Awards and eight American Music Awards. Her successful battle with breast cancer in 1992-93 led to the creation of her album GAIA: One Woman’s Journey, her debut as a song writer. MCA Nashville is scheduled to release her latest album, Back With a Heart, in May.
