Olivia Newton-John’s daughter Chloe is determined to climb the ladder of fame and fortune and follow in her famous mum’s footsteps. And in the process she is certainly making friends in high places her latest being none other than 19-year-old pop princess Britney Spears. Our exclusive pictures show Chloe celebrating her 15th birthday at Dimples, a funky bar in Burbank, California.
“Olivia thought it would be a hoot to have Chloe’s party at Dimples” a friend of the Aussie actor and singer reveals. “It’s famous for its terrific karaoke stage and equipment”.
And that’s pretty convenient considering Chloe, who is blessed with her mother’s beauty and musical genes, recently embarked on a singing career and is currently recording her first album featuring songs the talented teen penned herself.
As well as getting in some extra singing practice, Chloe is also picking up fashion tips and other tricks of the trade from new mate Britney
“Britney was the surprise guest Olivia arranged to sing at Chloe’s birthday bash,” says the friend.
After her performance, Britney, Chloe and Olivia tucked into vegetarian cuisine washed down with non-alcoholic cocktails Chloe then jumped onstage and performed a few songs from Grease as a tribute to her mum.
“Between sets, Britney and Chloe chatted incessantly before swapping phone numbers and e-mail addresses,” a guest reveals. “Now they are the best of friends and exchange ideas on music, clothes and boys!”
Chloe is said to be extremely serious about her career and Olivia couldn’t be more supportive, Mother and daughter recently finished filming The Wilde Girls, a made-for-TV movie for Showtime. And Chloe will get another chance to show off her singing ability later this year - she’ll be the opening act for her singing ability Olivia’s American tour.
“It’s an exciting time for both Chloe and Olivia”, adds the pal. “They really are best of friends, and Chloe’s friendship with Britney is just the icing on the cake.”
