Olivia strolling with her dog

Evergreen actress and singer Olivia Newton-John looked the picture of health when she was spotted recently on a relaxed outing near her home in Malibu with her boyfriend Patrick McDermott. The star of Grease who, amazingly, will be 52 next month, and her partner, a sports cameraman, had stopped at a petrol station to give her new pet, an adorable chocolate Labrador, a bowl of water.
Olivia and Patrick have been together for few years now and, although there has been talk of wedding bells, the two have yet to set a date.
Previously the actress was married to fellow thespian and dancer Matt Lattanzi. The couple met on the set of the musical extravaganza Xanadu before marrying in 1985 and have a 14-year-old daughter, Chloe. In 1992 tragedy struck when Olivia was diagnosed as having breast cancer, just two weeks after her father died of cancer. Although she survived the disease, her marriage did not and she and Matt separated in 1995.
The actress has always been a staunch conservationist and animal lover and lives in an environmentally-friendly home that she and her former husband constructed together.
Although she spends much time these days lobbying the US government to cut down on pollution, Olivia is still doing what she does best. In 1998 she returned to her Country & Western roots with the album Back With A Heat and recently completed a film with Beau Bridges, entitled Sordid Lives.

To judge by these photos taken near her Malibu home, the relationship between Olivia and sports cameraman Patrick McDermott is going strong. The actress had attention to spare though for her Labrador pup. She and Patrick had stopped at a petrol station to give him a drink of water (below right).
