Olivia was one of the guests on Donny & Marie Osmond's 70s TV series back in 1978.

Olivia along with Bob Hope and KC (of KC and the Sunshine Band) opened the 1978 series with Olivia cutting the ribbon. The goofy bit then being that the set proceeded to fall apart.

Olivia dueted with Donny Osmond on You're The One That I Want, with some great moves from the two of them. The "yooh, yoohs" get a bit irritating though. Commenting 20 years later in his autobiography Donny remembered the highlight of his 70s TV series as working with beautiful women such as Olivia Newton-John.

Olivia's name is also an excuse for a gag. Marie introduced Olivia by saying that you could sum up in two words why Grease was a popular movie  "Olivia Newton-John" . Donny became the brunt of the joke, as he usually was, when he tried to contradict saying that was three words (forgetting the hyphenation)

Olivia also performed her Hopelessly Devoted To You single on a specially designed romantic set - mist and fake forest. Olivia then joined the guests in an Egyptian Pharaoh sketch in which she played a sexy Cleopatra with an amusing song "It's so nice to have a man around the house."
